CAMP DESCRIPTION

Achievement Objectives:

Purposes and audiences

• Show a developing understanding of how to shape texts for different purposes and audiences.

Ideas

Motivation:

• Write a description about one event/experience from camp.

• To hook the reader in with an interesting beginning

My draft and editing:

Published writing:I woke up that morning and I thought,OMG ITS MY BIRTHDAY! I was
going to mega air with my friends.

We finally got there and we were all so super pumped.We couldn't hold in all our
excitement.We walked into the little room that has an arcade in it.It also had a tv and
seats so you can watch the safety video.

The safety video went for about 3 minutes but it felt like it went for 10 minutes.YAY! It
was done and then time to go on the tramps! It was so cool because we were the first
people onto the tramps.We ran around and had races it was so fun.One of the best
birthdays I have ever had because I got to hang out with friends and family.

It was so super cool because we were jumping into a foam pit that had a big cover over
it.It felt like I was jumping onto a big fluffy cloud.It was so hot so we kept on standing
in front of the fan and running to the drinking fountain.

We had such a great day and I hope next year is even better.In the end ,we went to my
dads house for a pool party.

My reflection and next step: My next step is to write more complex sentences and I like
the way I explained what we did at mega air.
