What is the event at the Winter Olympics you are researching?

The Luge.

History of the sport?

The first ever luge race was in Norway in the 15 century it is just like the bobsleigh and skeleton
but u go faster in the skeleton then any other one.

How the sport is played? What happens?

First you sit on the board then you push off using the ice so you get acceleration,
the driver steers by pushing on the runners and using there shoulder strength to help them steer better.

Are there different versions of the sport?

There is no other version of the sport but there is two different kinds called the skeleton and the bobsleigh

What equipment is used?

A helmet with clear glasses to protect your eyes , a pair of special boots/shoes , the luge board and
gloves to keep your hands warm and the gloves and have spikes on them so when they start the race
they push off using the ice.

The currunt gold medalist is Kevin his time is 48.031.In second place is Chris his time is 48.075.
In third place is Roman and his time is 48.184.So the world champion is Kevin.The 2018 luge was
on the 11th of feb so it has already been.
